PEACE TALKS

Every September, as part of the International Peace Festival, the International Peace Alliance (IPA | AIP) features, through its partners and supporters, a non-partisan forum for informed dialogue, analysis, and exchange, within the framework of its Peace Talks Program and Speakers Spotlight Series.

IPA's partner-led conferences offer a dynamic and thought-provoking agenda designed to address pressing global challenges and provide valuable insights and foster connections with leaders and change-makers committed to shaping the future of international relations. With expert panels and keynote speakers, the sessions explore critical topics like Artificial Intelligence, the future of multilateral institutions, Arctic and cultural security in an era of social media and foreign interference.

The mission of IPA's Peace Talks Program is to promote an understanding of international affairs in a changing world by providing attendees with a non-partisan forum for informed discussion, analysis and debate. Accordingly, a cornerstone of IPA's work is our Peace Talks and Speakers Spotlight Series. In particular, IPA's Peace Talks Program gives participants and attendees the opportunity to directly engage with global issues that often intersect with local concerns.

The IPA also supports events outside of Canada, often in partnership with global think tanks, that can introduce international perspectives to global audiences.  IPA's Peace Talks and Speakers Spotlight Series can take on many different forms, from conferences, academic lectures and panel discussions to online webinars. Please consult our events calendar for a listing of IPA-organized and sponsored events.

Join our Speakers Spotlight Series for talks and panels, keynotes and conversations, where world-renowned icons, advocates, activists and innovators share their inspiring stories and the way in which they use the arts, creativity and innovation as resources for waging conflicts nonviolently, transforming relationships in the aftermath of violence and building capacities required for peace.

This is your chance to join the conversation through interactive and intimate dialogues facilitated by creative and socially-minded speakers. With packed days of talk, IPF’s Speakers Spotlight Series is a catalyst for dialogue and discussion around the solutions to our society’s greatest challenges.

We must rely on the recognition of a plurality of models, cultures and socio-economical diversification as a humanist approach involving a transdisciplinary focus. As well as biodiversity is the way for the emergence of new species, cultural diversity represents the creative potential of world-society. This requires a radical change in the ontological models of sustainable development, global education and world-society.

IPF’s Speakers Spotlight Series contributes to this transdisciplinary discourse in the convergence of art, science, technology and consciousness research as a model of sustainable development representing the creative potential of world-society based on respect, solidarity and cooperation as global standards for the entire human development with no boundaries.
