A powerful anti-violence, anti-racism musical dance production presented by Dr. Roz's Healing Place. In 2023, Sistas Calling made its stage debut at the prestigious Aga Khan Museum.

"Sistas Calling" is a theatrical production that seeks to inform, educate, and inspire through the performing arts. The next performance will take place at the Meridian Arts Centre on July 6th, 2024, at 7 PM.

 

"Sistas Calling" is an Anti-Violence & Anti-Racism musical theatre dance, production. addressing critical issues and the power of healing— topics that resonate deeply with the mission of empowering and helping women. The performance is inspired by the true story of a woman named Rosa, who survives her abuse.

 

"This powerful and transformative production was created by Dr. Roz, the founder of Dr. Roz's Healing Place (DRHP). DRHP is a not-for-profit charitable organization and Centre dedicated to empowering and healing women who have experienced violence.

 

The cast includes a mix of individuals with a theatre background along with those with lived experience and/or working in the VAW field and stars Dr. Roz Roach, a renowned practitioner, therapist, and multi-disciplinary artist, who has composed a compelling collection of songs blending popular music genres with spoken word and powerful vocals.
